Bacillus microbes

Spore-forming bacteria that activate when they encounter moisture and organic matter. They produce enzymes that break down proteins, starches, fats, oils, and grease. The action continues for up to 24 hours after application — long after the wipe stops.

Cold-process bar with olive oil, castor oil, and arabica coffee. The coffee acts as a natural deodorizer — neutralizing sulfur compounds responsible for garlic, onion, and fish odors. Cleans without stripping skin of natural oils.

How much does the Kitchen Biōm Trio cover? +
BioSurf 16oz makes ~32 gallons of cleaning solution at standard dilution — typically 4–6 months of regular use. The 32oz dishwasher detergent yields 30–50 loads depending on dosing. Chef Soap Bar lasts about 2–3 months of daily hand-washing.
Why three different mechanisms instead of one universal formula? +
Because the kitchen has three different cleaning problems. Surface buildup (Bacillus microbial). Food residue baked into dishware (targeted enzymes). Odors absorbed by skin (arabica coffee grounds). A "universal" cleaner has to compromise on each of these. We didn't want to compromise.
Is the dishwasher detergent HE-safe? +
Yes. The formula is HE-safe and compatible with both standard and high-efficiency dishwashers. Use 1 scoop for everyday loads, 2 for heavy or baked-on messes. Place directly in the main detergent compartment — not the pre-rinse section.
Are these safe around pets and kids? +
Yes. All three formulas are designed for homes with pets and children. Fragrance-free, no phosphates, no persistent environmental contaminants. As with any cleaning product, allow surfaces to dry before reintroducing pets or kids, and keep out of reach.
Can I use BioSurf with bleach or disinfectants? +
No. Bleach and quaternary ammonium ("quat") disinfectants deactivate the Bacillus cultures in BioSurf. If your protocol includes a bleach or quat step, run BioSurf separately — never in the same bucket, bottle, or cloth. The dishwasher detergent and Chef Soap are unaffected.
Does the Chef Soap really remove garlic and onion smell? +
Yes. The arabica coffee grounds in the bar act as a natural deodorizer — the compounds in coffee neutralize the sulfur molecules responsible for garlic, onion, and fish smells. Wet your hands, lather, rinse. It works on the same principle as stainless-steel "soap" bars but doesn't dry your skin. The same trick chefs have used for decades, embedded in the bar itself.
