THE EXFOLIATING FORMULA
Two ingredients. One doing the work you can see. One doing the work you can't.

Most body soaps clean the surface. This one cleans deeper — Arabica coffee grounds physically lift dead skin cells while the saponified oil base cleans and conditions. USP-grade methylene blue is incorporated at the same pharmaceutical purity specification as the Alpinia blu capsule range. Two ingredient stories in one cold-process bar.

💙 WHY THE BAR IS BLUE

The blue comes entirely from the USP-grade methylene blue in the formula — not from added dye or colorant. Methylene blue is naturally a vivid blue compound. The blue is the active ingredient made visible.

Arabica coffee grounds — physical exfoliation
Finely ground Arabica coffee provides physical exfoliation that lifts dead skin cells from the surface of the body. The same texture-based mechanism as a body scrub — built into a soap bar format that rinses clean.
USP-grade methylene blue — same as the capsule range
The methylene blue in this bar meets the same United States Pharmacopeia purity specification as the Alpinia blu capsules. Not cosmetic grade. Not industrial grade. The cleanest specification available applied to a cold-process bar.
Apricot kernel oil — lightweight and skin-compatible
A lightweight carrier oil with a fatty acid profile that absorbs readily and does not leave a heavy residue. Balances the olive oil and coconut oil base for a bar that feels clean rather than greasy after rinsing.
Cold-process — natural glycerin retained
The cold-process method preserves the natural glycerin produced during saponification. Commercial soap manufacturers typically extract and sell this glycerin separately, leaving a harsher bar. Cold-process bars keep it.
THE TWO HERO INGREDIENTS
What does the work. And how.
PHYSICAL EXFOLIANT
Arabica Coffee Grounds

Finely ground Arabica coffee embedded in every bar. The granular texture physically lifts dead skin cells from the surface — the same mechanism as a body scrub, in a soap bar that lathers and rinses clean. Also known for its ability to temporarily reduce the appearance of uneven skin texture after repeated use. The coffee scent is the ingredient — no synthetic fragrance added.

USP-GRADE · ACTIVE
Methylene Blue

USP-grade specification — the same purity standard as the Alpinia blu capsule range applied to a topical cold-process formula. The natural blue compound that gives this bar its color. Most methylene blue soap bars use cosmetic or lab-grade active ingredients. This bar uses the same pharmaceutical purity specification as our ingestible range — because the standard we apply inside also applies outside.

PHYSICAL EXFOLIATION
Why the texture does the work.

Most body soaps remove surface dirt. Physical exfoliation goes a step further — the mechanical action of the coffee grounds against skin lifts dead skin cells that soap alone cannot remove. The result is a cleaner, smoother surface after each wash rather than just a clean one.

WHY COFFEE GROUNDS SPECIFICALLY

Coffee grounds have been used as a body scrub ingredient for decades — the granular texture is effective for physical exfoliation without being harsh on skin. In a cold-process soap bar format, the grounds are distributed evenly throughout the bar and release with each use, providing consistent exfoliation from the first bar to the last sliver.

Physical exfoliation vs soap alone
Standard soap cleans the skin surface. Physical exfoliation from the coffee grounds mechanically removes dead skin cells that have built up between washes — giving the skin a smoother texture over time with repeated use.
Consistent from first use to last
The coffee grounds are embedded throughout the bar — not applied to the surface. Every use from the first wash to the last delivers consistent exfoliation as the bar lathers and the grounds release against skin.
Rinses clean — no scrub residue
Unlike a body scrub product which requires rinsing out of a pot or tube, the coffee grounds in this bar disperse with the lather and rinse away cleanly. No residue left in the shower. No product wasted.
The scent is the ingredient
The coffee scent in this bar comes from the Arabica grounds — not from added synthetic fragrance. No fragrance compounds are added to the formula. The scent is the ingredient.
THE USP STANDARD
The same purity spec as the capsule range.

Most methylene blue body soaps use cosmetic or laboratory-grade methylene blue — which allows for a wider range of impurities. This bar uses USP-grade methylene blue — the same United States Pharmacopeia purity specification as the Alpinia blu capsules. The standard we apply to what goes in your body also applies to what goes on it.

WHAT USP-GRADE MEANS IN A SOAP BAR

USP-grade is a documented purity specification set by the United States Pharmacopeia — the same organization that sets standards for pharmaceutical ingredients. Using USP-grade methylene blue in a soap bar means the active ingredient has been manufactured and verified to pharmaceutical purity standards — not cosmetic or industrial standards that allow for a wider range of impurities.

USP-grade — not cosmetic grade
Most methylene blue body products use cosmetic or lab-grade active ingredients. We use the same pharmaceutical purity specification as our capsule range.
The color confirms the ingredient
The bar's blue color is entirely from the methylene blue — no dye, no colorant. The blue is a direct visual indicator of the active ingredient's presence in the formula.
Consistent across every bar
Each batch is formulated to the same ingredient ratios — the same methylene blue concentration, the same coffee ground quantity, the same oil base composition.
Handcrafted in Cape Coral, Florida
Every bar is handcrafted in the USA by a team that applies the same ingredient standard to this soap bar as to every other product in the Alpiniå range.

INCI names shown in italics. Every ingredient listed — nothing hidden.

Saponified Olive Oil
Olea Europaea Fruit Oil
The primary oil base. High oleic acid content — gentle and skin-compatible. Saponified with lye through the cold-process method. The lye is completely consumed in the reaction and none remains in the finished bar.
Palm Oil
Elaeis Guineensis Oil
Adds firmness and contributes to bar hardness and longevity. Sourced from certified sustainable palm — RSPO-compliant supply chain.
Saponified Coconut Oil
Cocos Nucifera Oil
Adds rich lather and cleansing action. Coconut oil produces significant foam in soap — included specifically for its lathering properties, balanced by the olive oil base.
Apricot Kernel Oil
Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil
A lightweight carrier oil with a fatty acid profile that absorbs readily without leaving a heavy residue. Softens and conditions the skin-feel of the bar, balancing the heavier olive oil base.
Arabica Coffee Grounds ☕ EXFOLIANT
Coffea Arabica Seed Powder
Finely ground Arabica coffee. The physical exfoliant in the formula — distributed evenly throughout the bar and released with each use to lift dead skin cells from the body surface. The coffee scent is the ingredient. No synthetic fragrance added.
USP-Grade Methylene Blue 💙 ACTIVE
Methylene Blue (USP-Grade)
Pharmaceutical purity specification — the same standard as the Alpinia blu capsule range applied to a topical formula. The compound that gives this bar its natural blue color. No dye is added. The blue is the ingredient.
Sodium Lactate
Sodium Lactate
A naturally derived salt of lactic acid. Added to the cold-process formula to improve bar hardness and aid unmoulding — helps produce a firmer, longer-lasting bar without altering the formula's skin feel.
THIS FORMULA CONTAINS NO

SLS or SLES · Synthetic fragrance · Parabens · Phthalates · Artificial colors (blue is from methylene blue only) · Synthetic preservatives

HOW TO USE
Body exfoliation. A few things to know.
01
Wet the bar and your body
The bar lathers best when both the bar and your skin are thoroughly wet. Work up a lather in your hands or directly on a loofah before applying to body.
02
Apply and work in circular motions
Apply to body in gentle circular motions — the coffee grounds provide physical exfoliation as you work. Focus on rough areas: elbows, knees, heels. Avoid face unless specifically using as a facial bar.
03
Rinse thoroughly
Rinse completely. Coffee grounds and any temporary blue tint from the methylene blue will rinse clean. Avoid eye area.
04
Store dry between uses
Store on a dry soap dish that allows water to drain. Keeping the bar dry between uses significantly extends its lifespan.
QUICK REFERENCE
Use on Body — elbows, knees, rough skin
Motion Gentle circular — let grounds exfoliate
Frequency Daily or 3–4x per week
Rinse Thoroughly — grounds rinse clean
Storage Dry soap dish between uses
💙 BLUE TINT — WHAT TO EXPECT

Skin: May leave a faint temporary blue tint — fades quickly with rinsing.

Washcloth or loofah: Can tint light-colored items temporarily. Rinse immediately after use. Washes out in laundry.

Shower surfaces: Rinse the shower floor after use to avoid temporary staining on light grout.

FAQs

The coffee grounds in this bar are finely ground — not coarse. They provide physical exfoliation through gentle abrasion rather than scratching. Use with light to moderate pressure in circular motions. If you have very sensitive skin, reduce pressure or use less frequently.

Methylene blue may leave a faint temporary tint on skin that fades quickly with thorough rinsing. Coffee grounds may leave temporary brown marks in the shower — rinse the shower floor after use. Neither stain is permanent. White washcloths and loofahs can tint temporarily — rinse immediately after use and wash normally.

The scent is entirely from the Arabica coffee grounds — no synthetic fragrance is added to the formula. If you are sensitive to synthetic fragrance, this bar is suitable. The scent is the ingredient.

USP-grade is the purity specification set by the United States Pharmacopeia — the standard used in pharmaceutical applications. It is a meaningfully higher specification than cosmetic or laboratory-grade methylene blue, which may contain impurities not appropriate for use on skin. This bar uses the same grade as the Alpinia blu capsule range — the most rigorous standard available.
