Premium ingredients.
For every square inch of skin.
The Cellular Renewal Body Lotion applies the same ingredient standard as the Alpinia blu capsule and face cream range — to a daily whole-body moisturiser. USP-grade methylene blue paired with rare Nordic seed oils, cooling cucumber hydrosol, and rich cocoa butter. Purpose-built as a companion to red light therapy — the lightweight base absorbs without residue, so nothing sits between your skin and the light.
💙 One Standard, Head to Toe
Most methylene blue body products use cosmetic or laboratory-grade active ingredients. This lotion uses the same USP-grade methylene blue as the Alpinia blu capsules and face cream. The standard we apply to what goes in your body also applies to what goes on 100% of it.
USP-grade methylene blue — pharmaceutical purity
The same United States Pharmacopeia purity specification used in the Alpinia blu capsule range and Restorative Face Cream. Not cosmetic grade. Not laboratory grade. The most rigorous standard available, applied to a full-body lotion.
Red light therapy pairing
Specifically formulated for use with red light therapy. The lightweight base absorbs within 60 seconds and leaves no residue that would block light transmission — apply before a session, or after, without interfering with therapy.
Cloudberry & lingonberry — Nordic antioxidants
Rubus Chamaemorus and Vaccinium Vitis-Idaea seed oils — two of the rarest cold-pressed oils in cosmetics. Wild-harvested in Arctic Scandinavia. Naturally high in omega-3, omega-6, and vitamin E content.
Unscented by design
No synthetic fragrance. No "parfum." No essential oils. The lotion has only the faint, clean scent of its raw ingredients — which fades within minutes of application. A deliberate choice to avoid phthalate fixatives and to keep the formula suitable for sensitive skin.
The Hero Ingredients
What's in it. Why each one is there.
Methylene Blue
Methylene Blue (USP-Grade)
Pharmaceutical purity specification — the same standard as the Alpinia blu capsule range applied to a topical body formula. The active ingredient in this lotion. USP-grade means the methylene blue has been independently verified to meet pharmaceutical purity requirements, not cosmetic or industrial ones.
Cloudberry Seed Oil
Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Oil
One of the rarest cosmetic oils in the world — harvested from cloudberries growing wild in Arctic Nordic conditions. Naturally high in omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 fatty acids, with a vitamin E content among the highest of any berry oil.
Lingonberry Seed Oil
Vaccinium Vitis-Idaea Seed Oil
A second rare Nordic seed oil — cold-pressed from wild lingonberries that grow alongside cloudberries in the Scandinavian Arctic. Rich in essential fatty acids and naturally occurring tocopherols. Pairs with cloudberry to create a dual-omega profile uncommon in body care.
Cucumber Hydrosol
Cucumis Sativus Hydrosol
A water-based distillate from fresh cucumbers — lightweight, naturally cooling, and rich in skin-compatible humectant compounds. Contributes to the lotion's immediate post-application feel and supports a calm, even appearance on reactive or sun-warmed skin.
Cocoa Butter
Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter
Cold-pressed cocoa butter — naturally rich in stearic and oleic fatty acids. Provides the long-lasting nourishment a whole-body lotion demands. A long-established cosmetic ingredient for dry, mature, and stressed skin across larger surface areas.
The USP Standard
The same purity spec
as the capsule range.
Most methylene blue body products use cosmetic or laboratory-grade active ingredients — which allow for a wider range of impurities. This lotion uses USP-grade methylene blue — the same United States Pharmacopeia purity specification as the Alpinia blu capsules and Restorative Face Cream. The standard we apply to what goes in your body also applies to what goes on all of it.
What USP-Grade Means in a Body Lotion
USP-grade is a documented purity specification set by the United States Pharmacopeia — the same organization that sets standards for pharmaceutical ingredients. Using USP-grade methylene blue in a body lotion means the active ingredient has been manufactured and verified to pharmaceutical purity standards — not cosmetic or industrial standards that allow for a wider range of impurities.
USP-grade — not cosmetic grade
Most MB body products use cosmetic or lab-grade active ingredients. We use the same pharmaceutical purity specification as the capsule range — because the standard should be the same whether you are putting something on your skin or in your body.
Consistent with the full range
Every product in the Alpinia blu range — capsules, face cream, body lotion, soaps — uses USP-grade methylene blue. One standard across the entire range. Not a different grade for topical products because "it's just skincare."
Formulated for red light therapy
The lightweight emulsion base absorbs within 60 seconds and leaves no residue. Apply before or after a red light therapy session without interfering with light transmission or therapy protocols.
Handcrafted in Cape Coral, Florida
Every bottle is produced in the USA. Not outsourced. Not contracted to a large commercial manufacturer. Made in Florida by the same team that holds every other Alpinia Labs formula to the same standard.

How to Use
After your shower.
Before or after red light.
Apply to clean, slightly damp skin
Best applied post-shower while the skin is still faintly damp — towel-dry until just-dry, not fully dry. This allows the hydrosol and humectants to lock in ambient moisture alongside the applied formula.
Dispense a palmful
Use approximately one to two pumps per limb, or a palmful for full-body application. A little goes a long way — the lotion emulsifies and spreads further than its weight suggests.
Massage in upward circular motions
Work from the feet upward and from the hands toward the heart, using gentle circular motions. This application method supports the natural direction of circulation and helps the lotion absorb evenly.
Pair with red light therapy — either side of the session
Apply 5 to 10 minutes before a red light therapy session to pre-prime the skin, or immediately after a session while circulation is elevated. The lightweight base absorbs within 60 seconds and leaves no residue that would block light transmission.
Quick Reference
💙 Red Light Therapy Pairing
This lotion is specifically formulated to work alongside red light therapy. Apply 5 to 10 minutes before a session to pre-prime the skin — or immediately after, when circulation is elevated and skin is most receptive. The lightweight base absorbs fully without blocking light transmission for your next session.

The methylene blue in this formula is used at acosmetic-appropriate concentrationand the emulsion is designed to absorb within approximately 60 seconds. When applied as directed to clean, slightly damp skin and allowed to absorb fully before dressing, the formula does not transfer to fabric. Allow the lotion to absorb completely before putting on light-coloured clothing or white linens. Patch test on a small area first.
Yes — this lotion is specifically formulated as a red light therapy pairing. Apply 5 to 10 minutes before a session to pre-prime the skin, or immediately after a session when circulation is elevated. The lightweight base absorbs within 60 seconds and leaves no residue that would block light transmission in subsequent sessions.

The formula is designed to be gentle — the grapeseed oil base is non-comedogenic and highly skin-compatible, the cucumber hydrosol supports a calm, cool feel, and there is no synthetic fragrance, no essential oils, no parabens, and no mineral oil. Patch test on a small area of skin before full-body use. Discontinue if irritation occurs.
This lotion is formulated for body application. For facial use, we recommend the Restorative Methylene Blue Face Cream— which uses the same USP-grade methylene blue but in a formula specifically built around facial skin (with cloudberry, squalane, edelweiss, and rosehip) rather than the body's larger surface area and different needs.
