What's actually building up in your drains.
Food particles, fats, oils, grease, soap residue and other organic material can gradually accumulate inside kitchen sinks, bathroom drains, garbage disposals and household plumbing. Over time, that buildup can contribute to unpleasant odors, sluggish drains and a less-than-clean environment hiding beneath the sink.
Biology that keeps working.
BioDrain™'s proprietary bioactive system uses beneficial Bacillus microorganisms selected for their enzyme-producing and organic-digesting capabilities. Once introduced into the drain environment, the microorganisms help break down and digest organic material—including fats, oils, grease and food residue—as part of an ongoing biological process, continuing their activity after application when conditions within the drain allow.

BioDrain™ vs. conventional drain openers
What BioDrain™ Is Not
BioDrain™ is not an instant chemical drain opener and should not be expected to clear severe blockages caused by foreign objects, mineral deposits, tree roots or other non-organic obstructions. Its strength is ongoing biological maintenance of the organic material that accumulates in drains during everyday household use.

Questions we get asked.
Is BioDrain™ septic safe? +
Yes. BioDrain™ is septic safe. A healthy septic system already depends on microorganisms to help break down organic waste, and BioDrain™ works through beneficial biological activity rather than harsh drain-opening chemistry.
How often should I use it? +
Start with 2 oz per drain every day for the first 2 weeks. After that, 1 oz per drain once a week keeps up your routine maintenance.
When is the best time to use it? +
At the end of the night. Pour the measured amount down the drain, then let the biology work. If you like, run the faucet for about a minute to carry it down into the pipes.
Can I use it in a garbage disposal? +
Yes—garbage disposals are one of the places BioDrain™ is designed for. Pour it in as directed and let it sit in the disposal to help control odors.
Can I use it with bleach or other cleaners? +
Do not add quats or bleach after pouring BioDrain™ down the drain. They can deactivate the beneficial Bacillus microorganisms it relies on.
Will it clear a clogged drain? +
BioDrain™ is not an instant chemical drain opener and should not be expected to clear severe blockages caused by foreign objects, mineral deposits, tree roots or other non-organic obstructions. It’s built for ongoing biological maintenance of the organic material that builds up in everyday use.
Not every cleaning job requires the same mechanism.
Enzymes work on specific soils. Beneficial microorganisms can continue digesting organic material in environments conventional surface cleaning can't reach. BioDrain™ brings that approach below the surface—into one of the most overlooked areas of the home.
