Laundry Questions, Answered
Everything you'd want to know.
How does it clean in cold water?
Two ways at once. All six enzymes are selected for cold-water activity, so they keep digesting stains on a cold cycle. And the sodium percarbonate and TAED work together to release active oxygen at low temperatures — brightening and lifting where most detergents lose power. You get full performance without heating the water.
What are the six enzymes for?
Each targets a different soil: Protease (protein — blood, sweat, grass), Amylase (starch and food), Lipase (oils and grease), Mannanase (gums and thickeners), and two rarer ones — Pectate-Lyase (fruit, tomato, wine) and Cellulase (plant fiber and brightness). Most natural detergents use one or two. Six means fewer stains left behind.
Is the lemon scent natural?
Yes — it comes from real lemon essential oil, not synthetic fragrance. No parabens, no phthalates, no undisclosed "fragrance" line. The scent is bright and clean, and light on fabric after drying rather than heavily perfumed.
Does it work in hard water?
Yes. The formula includes sodium gluconate, a natural chelator that binds the calcium and magnesium in hard water before they leave mineral residue on fabric or blunt the detergent's performance. Standard dosing works in hard water — no adjustment needed.
How many washes do I get?
The 5 lb bag delivers up to 160 washes and the 10 lb bag up to 320. Because the powder is concentrated and ships dry, one 10 lb bag replaces dozens of plastic detergent jugs. A measuring scoop is included.
Is it HE and fabric safe?
Compatible with all standard and HE machines, and safe for all fabric types including delicates, linens, and activewear. Cold and hot water compatible. The concentrated powder produces minimal foam, which is ideal for low-water HE machines.
What's not in it?
No SLS, no phosphates, no optical brighteners, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens. Every ingredient is listed on the panel — nothing hidden behind a "fragrance" line.
